I started this marine canvas business
in the
Baltimore
metro
area
because I'm an avid boater and I want to offer
my
customers
what I
demand
as a boater - a responsive, reliable service person who
returns
calls and shows
up when scheduled. I want to offer courteous service. I
want people to see
my
services enhance their boating experience.
I thought it was time to change
the manners of the marine canvas
industry
in Baltimore.
I will do
what I say, on time for the price I quote.
My years of
management
experience in other service related businesses,
and as a
skilled technician
prepared me for this business.
I chose the business name to honor my father, Admiral John
William Kime, a former Commandant of the United States Coast
Guard. Admiral Thad Allen, Commandant of the Coast Guard at
the time of my dad's death said, "In the wake of the Exxon
Valdez oil spill, Adm. Kime pioneered how the Coast Guard
now prevents and responds to oil and hazardous chemical
spills, significantly minimizing the environmental damage
caused by such spills. His legacy can be seen today in how
the Coast Guard responds to a broad range of threats and
hazards to our maritime, homeland, and national security
interests."
I have
leased a slip for my boat at Anchor Bay East Marina since
1996.
Anchor Bay East has a great reputation for
providing
quality
work, on time to boaters in the greater Baltimore area.
Many of the boats from Baltimore's Inner Harbor winter with
Anchor Bay East in Dundalk.
Anchor Bay
East offered me the opportunity to locate my business within
their marina.
I service boats throughout the upper and middle Chesapeake
Bay area, including Baltimore, Middle River, Rock Hall,
Annapolis, Kent Island,
Pasadena
and Sassafras River. You can bring your boat to Anchor Bay
East on Bear Creek
near
the Key Bridge,
or we will
come to you. Although the business name says marine
canvas,
our
work includes full enclosures,
complete
canvas,
upholstery, carpeting, and
interior
design or decorating.
My wife, Joan, does the interior decorating.
Our marine canvas business is changing. The Chesapeake Bay
Marine Canvas Fabricators Association, Inc awarded Admiral
Marine Canvas its 2009 award for Best Enclosure on a 27 foot
or larger boat.
We've
increased our impact in Baltimore and the middle Chesapeake
Bay by becoming an EZ2CY
dealer.
Becoming
an EZ2CY
dealer
expands
our
impact in
the industry
allowing
us to
offer
boaters in the Chesapeake Bay a
complete
line of
marine enclosures.
We also
offer enclosures featuring semi rigid Makrolon AR2, a
scratch resistant UV protected polycarbonate which offers
near optical glass clarity at a price comparable to standard
flexible, or roll up enclosures we have all come to
tolerate. Did I mention it lasts longer too?
So, why do
business with me? If you place a value on quality and
attention to detail let me show you the difference in my
work.
Whether
you want a full enclosure or just a hatch cover
call me, Ed Kime, marine canvas guy in the Baltimore, upper
Chesapeake Bay, and middle Chesapeake Bay
areas for
a free estimate. We will fabricate what you want, not what
we think you may settle for.
I hope to change your opinion of marine canvas guys, or at
least this one. |
