I started this marine canvas business
because I'm an avid boater and I want to offer
as a boater - a responsive, reliable service person who
calls and shows
up when scheduled. I want to offer courteous service. I
want people to see
services enhance their boating experience.
I thought it was time to change
the manners of the marine canvas
I will do
what I say, on time for the price I quote.
My years of
experience in other service related businesses,
and as a
prepared me for this business.
I chose the business name to honor my father, Admiral John
William Kime, a former Commandant of the United States Coast
Guard. Admiral Thad Allen, Commandant of the Coast Guard at
the time of my dad's death said, "In the wake of the Exxon
Valdez oil spill, Adm. Kime pioneered how the Coast Guard
now prevents and responds to oil and hazardous chemical
spills, significantly minimizing the environmental damage
caused by such spills. His legacy can be seen today in how
the Coast Guard responds to a broad range of threats and
hazards to our maritime, homeland, and national security
I service boats throughout the upper and middle Chesapeake
Bay area from Solomons to Havre de Grace, including
Baltimore, Middle River, Bowleys Quarters, Essex, Annapolis,

Sue Island Marina,
or we will
come to you. We are conveniently located near all of
the marinas on the Middle River, including Bowleys, Sunset,
and Long Beach to name a few. Although the business name says marine
work includes full enclosures,
upholstery, carpeting, and
design or decorating.
My wife, Joan, does the interior decorating.
We've been honored to receive
national and Mid Atlantic Regional recognition for the work that we've done.
Admiral Marine Canvas received National Awards for
Enclosures and Hard Enclosures. We've received Mid Atlantic Regional
Awards for Enclosures, Hard Enclosures, Marine Interiors,
and Non-Marine Interiors.
The Chesapeake Bay
Marine Canvas Fabricators Association, Inc awarded Admiral
Marine Canvas its 2009 award for Best Enclosure on a 27 foot
or larger boat - our first award.
